I've been called selfish, I've been called ungrateful, Because I'm not exactly what they want me to be, They think I'm hellish, My opinions disgraceful, But just to make them like me I will not concede, Am I an asshole? My views offensive? Well I'm just breaking free from my repressive lead, I'm not a puppet, Nor a people-pleaser, So my respect for you is never guaranteed. I don't need your judgement, Or your point of view, You can have your own opinion just don't push it on me, If you think they are repugnant, Then I bid you adieu, They're what I believe in I don't care if you agree, I won't implore your admiration, I thrive on your distain, If you want to end our relation I won't beg on my knees, So take your scorn and condemnation, I'll wear them like a crown with pride, I'd rather speak my truth than bow to your decrees.
