With passion and pain I build my walls high, Carefully brick by brick I take my time, I will not stop erecting I'm not sure why, But these walls I build must touch the sky. they hide the wounds I've long concealed, the scars that time has never healed. Each brick I place, a silent plea, to keep the world away from me. Within my sanctuary that I reside, No pressure here to lie or hide, My insecurities fade when I'm inside, Where silence soothes my restless mind. In these walls I'm not obliged to explain, No forced smiles to mask the pain, I don't feel judged I just feel safe, In solitude I'm just okay.
